The Ground Rules of Adding a Photo
Aesthetics are everything. For men and women. Photos are your first impression, and they can tell a story that words just can't tell. Here are a few things to think about when you're deciding which photos are right for your profile.
Keep it recent
When you show up for your date, you want to look just like your photo, if not better. So choose a photo that looks like you right now. Not in college. Not 5 years ago. Every photo you add should be no older than a year.
No bathroom selfies
There are plenty of places for you to take photos, your bathroom is not one of them. If you want to go the selfie route, keep the background simple. Or show yourself in an interesting location, like a park or sporting event.
No group photos
Keep the focus of your photos on you. People are coming to your profile to see you. Think about it like this: the last thing you want is a potential date being attracted to someone in the photo who is not you.
Show some variety
Photos can tell your story without you ever saying a word. That's why it's smart to add photos that show off different sides of your personality. If you're into sports, add a photo of you at your last game. If you like to go dancing, add a photo of you dressed to the nines.
Put what you've learned to good use. Add a new photo now.
